Markus Meinzer
Markus is employed by TJN’s International Secretariat as an applied researcher and analyst. He studied development economics as a component of his political science degree, and was an exchange student at the University of Sussex (UK). He is enrolled as a PhD-student at Jacobs University, Bremen and is a special invitee to the Permanent Committee on International Tax Planning Control of the Inter-American Centre of Tax Administrations.
John Christensen
John is director of the Tax Justice Network International Secretariat. He is former economic adviser to the States of Jersey, and also worked as senior economist at a London-based political and economic consulting firm. He has considerable experience of directing and project managing multi-disciplinary quantitative and qualitative research projects and directed a statistical research department for 11 years.
Steven Eichenberger
Steven Eichenberger has studied political science at the Graduate Institute for International and Development Studies (IHEID) in Geneva, focussing on international political economy. He has contributed to the qualitative component of the Financial Secrecy Index and will undertake research on international tax governance.
Nicholas Shaxson
Nicholas Shaxson is a journalist and writer on the staff of TJN’s International Secretariat. He is an associate fellow of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) and author of Poisoned Wells (Palgrave MacMillan). His most recent book, Treasure Islands: Tax havens and the men who stole the world, was published by Random House in January 2011.
